The Ground Level Café can also be used as an event venue or space for rent for book readings and signings, craft shows, movie sets, live performances, group meetings, private dinners, etc. We also now offer free wifi to enhance your meetings or events.

Special rates for non-commercial groups are available. Consider booking for three or more similar events at a time for additional savings.

Notes:

• Non-profit includes environmental, social, educational or secular groups/organisations. Proof of non-profit status may be required. Also includes small groups/organisations who do not charge anything to their members. May also include political organisations with an attendance of less 10ppl.
• Commercial includes everything else, including political organisations with an attendance of 11ppl or more.
• All events that include alcohol consumption require a Special Occasion Permit (pdf) to be obtained by the event organiser and must be presented to café before event set up.
• Event organisers can order additional rental items to be delivered the business day before or day of their event and must be picked up or loaded out the next business day.
• Staff can be hired to do light duty work for events, such as selling drink tickets, guest list check at the door, coat check. Check with booking agent first.
• Prepayment discount of 25% for booking blocks of 3 similar events at a time.
• There will be a cancellation fee of 50% if cancelled less than 48hrs before the event.
• GLYV reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings at its discretion.
