Ground Level Café

Ground Level Youth Ventures operates The Ground Level Café in the downtown Toronto community of Parkdale.  Through traditional forms of job and life-skill training as well as innovative models for peer mentoring, our café program seeks to empower youth with limited education, skills and experience towards long-term, meaningful employment.

Our supportive work environment helps build confidence, instill worth, and encourage healthy lifestyle choices through a program that emphasizes skill development, team building, interpersonal communication, and problem solving.

In addition to receiving hands-on employment training, The Ground Level Café engages skilled volunteers and resource people from a variety of disciplines to assist participants with personal budgeting, time-management, conflict resolution, housing concerns, computer skills and resume building.  Opportunity is provided to explore common barriers to employment such as ange, violence and substance abuse.  GLYV is also able to facilitate a variety of job-shadowing experiences with a wide range of community employers.

Mon-Fri: 7:30am - 6:00pm

Sat: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Sun: closed

We are pleased to offer free wifi to our customers. Please ask a staff member for the password when you make your purchase.
